First Aid for Amphibians
Frogs, toads, newts, and other amphibians are often on the move across land. They are constantly searching for moisture and dark corners. It's not uncommon for them to fall into light wells, ventilation shafts, or through cattle grids. If there's no way out, they need our help! It's quite simple.
Tips on how to help are available here as part of the "Simply Good" project, which we are conducting in cooperation with Blühendes Österreich (Blooming Austria).
Christina Prechtl from Tyrol knows the problem of cattle grids for frogs and toads from personal experience.
In the video, she shows how to install effective escape aids using simple means, without having to lift heavy cattle grids.

A Caterpillar’s Need for Violets
Do you get excited at the sight of the first violet? The silver-washed fritillary caterpillar is even more excited! Since the end of last summer, it has only had its eggshell to eat. In autumn and winter, it hid in tree bark. After such a long period of fasting, the first bite is sure to be a treat for the little caterpillar. ;-)
In early summer, there won't be any more violets to admire, but we will be delighted by the magnificent orange butterfly!
