Wolfgang Suske has headed the RVS Species Protection Committee on behalf of the FSV since 2012. 20 experts from nature conservation authorities, the Ministry of Transport, planning offices, road construction departments and ASFINAG developed the new RVS Species Protection, which came into force on October 1, 2015. The RVS offers an up-to-date and important contribution to an EU-compliant, uniform assessment of the effects of infrastructure projects on flora and fauna. The committee still exists and meets as needed when adaptations or additions are required.
