Biodiversity areas such as late mown meadows look sloppy at first glance. The grass is high, partially broken and perhaps even brown. This is not a picture that is familiar in the Austrian landscape and is therefore not welcomed. Farmers who create such "sloppy" biodiversity strips sometimes have to work against their own feelings and are subject to critical assessment by their surroundings. But in reality, these "sloppy" areas are important for nature and "orderly". Wolfgang Suske created the idea and design for the now Austria-wide known project "Orderly. Sloppy" and led a team of experts who implemented the project in the thema:natur association. Through creative and entertaining seminars, specially developed pub shows, comic workshops, a touring exhibition and a spectacular information stand - the "Schlampertatsch" - farmers and the population were encouraged to question their "orderly" image of the landscape with humour and to become more open to ecological approaches.
