ELER funding project
The older generations on the farm have a wealth of experience that is characterized by an appreciation for our valuable natural and cultural landscapes. Their experiences are trend-setting for today's agriculture and society, as they can look back over a long period of time and thus have a more comprehensive view of social processes.
In contrast to the well-known young farmers' calendar, an old farmers' calendar was created in which seven old farmers talk about their experiences on the farm. The calendar comes without precise dates and can therefore be used again every year. The farmers were sensitively staged by the photographer Kassandra Langmaier. In addition to the calendar a touring exhibition was created that was extremely popular and toured Carinthia from 2020 to 2023. In various publicly accessible spaces such as foyers of hospitals, municipal offices, chambers of agriculture, shops or post offices impressively staged images of the calendar as well as the most important quotes from the farmers could be experienced.
