Action plan Eisenwurzen Nature park (2020)

Client: Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark

Together with local nature park stakeholders, the need for nature conservation action was identified in the nature and geopark and based on this, suitable measures were derived on which nature conservation work should focus over the next five years. In a first step available nature conservation principles and related data were researched, analyzed and assessed with regard to their usability for developing a strategy. On-site visits supplemented and confirmed the data. In order to get an idea of the mood of the situation of landscape users, local stakeholders were interviewed on the topics of nature, protection, usage aspects, nature park, roles and responsibilities, commitment, etc. As part of interactive participation events, the so-called "Nature Park Jausn", consensus was reached on the assessment of the current situation, ideas for further activities were created and motivation for their implementation was generated. A nature conservation strategy for the nature park was developed from the results of the data research, the interviews and the results of the interactive Nature Park Jausn. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the strategy is easy to understand, comprehensible and clearly presented.
