International result based payments network

The starting signal for the establishment of an Europe-wide network on result-based payments was given at an international conference held in Vienna from 16 to 17 September 2019. The event was organised and carried out by Suske Consulting, the association thema:natur and Jordbruks verket - Swedish Board of Agriculture. It was hosted by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism. More than 50 participants from 17 countries accepted the invitation. The aim of this event was to create a user network where managers of result-based measures (and those who want to implement new measures) can meet and regularly exchange experiences. In fact, results-based payment measures are increasingly used worldwide to encourage farmers to change their management practices in order to protect and promote natural habitats and their occurring species. During this conference, the idea was born to create a website to further promote international exchange.

Since 20 April 2020, the European network on result-based payment measures has its own website! The website describes all existing result-oriented support measures in Europe and presents relevant literature and statements by farmers. The site also serves as a platform for the mutual exchange of experience between the members of the network, where, for example, online meetings and bilateral discussions are organised and presented.
