Old farmers calendar on tour

Cheek by jowl with Carinthian old farmers

Their knowledge of old crafts, old customs and the work on the farm is precious. Their generation has experienced the change from exhausting manual labor to the labor-saving use of technology in agriculture at first hand. Our old farmers have exciting and touching stories to tell about their lives. The work used to be very strenuous," says 94-year-old Maria Stingler, remembering her youth, "but so many people worked together. And we had fun doing it."

The old farmers' calendar provides an insight into the lives and memories of seven Carinthian old farmers. Accompanying the calendar, an exhibition is touring Carinthia, where you can obtain the old farmers' calendar free of charge. Exhibition locations and further information on the project can be found on the project page.
